《洛基》（Rocky，又譯洛奇）是1976年由約翰·艾維森執導，席維斯·史特龍（Sylvester Stallone)擔綱編劇兼主演，講述一個寂寂無名的拳手洛基·巴布亞（Rocky Balboa），綽號「義大利種馬」(Italian Stallion)，與重量級拳王阿波羅·克里德（Apollo Creed）爭奪拳王的故事。「洛基」雖然是個虛構角色，由於劇情振奮人心又宣揚美國精神，「洛基」成為一個典型美國夢的英雄。席維斯·史特龍憑著演譯洛基·巴布亞，不僅成為著名的好萊塢影星，更是1980年代的電影票房保證及高片酬影星，甚至被塑造成美國版的民族英雄岳飛。《洛基》一片是低成本製作，僅僅花費100萬美元，及只用28日拍攝。然而意外地竟有超過一億一千七百二十萬的票房收入。《洛基》贏得1976年奧斯卡最佳影片獎、奧斯卡最佳導演獎和最佳剪輯獎，史特龍獲提名奧斯卡最佳男主角獎和最佳原創劇本。
由1976年到2006年，席維斯·史特龍共拍了六部洛基系列電影，洛基·巴布亞為電影系列第一男主角。2015年11月席維斯·史特龍推出了第七部洛基電影，但洛基·巴布亞首度變成電影系列男配角。洛基系列的電影名稱與上映時間如下：

洛基系列電影評價最高者仍是洛基第一集，而評價最差者是洛基第五集。洛基在第一集與阿波羅打成平手，洛基在第二集以最終意志戰勝阿波羅，洛基在第三集受到阿波羅的鼓勵之下擊敗怪頭T先生，洛基在第四集為了替阿波羅報仇而遠赴莫斯科打爆殺人機器拳王（Ivan Drago）。
洛基在第五集因得到阿茲海默症，無法再參加擂台戰成為街頭鬥士。原本第五集導演要讓洛基橫死街頭，洛基被自己的徒弟打死，以後就不用再拍續集。但席維斯·史特龍更改劇本讓洛基死裡逃生，最後反擊打倒徒弟，這段劇情轉彎有點硬。觀眾實在無法接受洛基虎落平陽的落難結局，洛基票房直線下降而讓席維斯·史特龍聲勢下墬，席維斯·史特龍變成1990年代的電影票房毒藥，更被評選為演技最差男主角。
直到十六年後推出洛基第六集勇者無懼，席維斯·史特龍才又恢復英雄氣概，替洛基系列電影扳回一城。
洛基系列電影令人熱血沸騰的拳擊爭戰，當屬《洛基三虎之眼》與《洛基四天下無敵》，其拳擊戰打得天昏地暗日月無光，堪稱是拳擊片經典中的經典。席維斯·史特龍當年因同時演出藍波系列電影，把肌肉練成像砲彈般強韌，宛如武神降世，比起1970年代的李小龍電影，不惶多讓。

講到《洛基三虎之眼》與《洛基四天下無敵》，一定要提到演唱電影主題曲的樂團「生存者樂團」(Survivor)。生存者樂團成立於1977年，因主唱《洛基三虎之眼》主題曲"Eye of The Tiger"勇奪美國告示牌六週流行排行榜冠軍，"Eye of The Tiger"更成為1982年美國告示牌年終排行榜亞軍。正當生存者樂團當紅之際，樂團主唱Dave Bickler卻於1983年離團，使得樂團於1985年尋找新主唱Jimi Jamison加入，Jimi Jamison因此演唱《洛基四天下無敵》主題曲"Burning Heart"。雖然Dave Bickler與Jimi Jamison音質接近，但"Eye of The Tiger"與"Burning Heart"曲風仍屬不同。

另一件妙事是席維斯·史特龍原先向英國天團皇后合唱團請求"Another One Bites The Dust"當作《洛基三》主題曲，皇后合唱團卻回絕席維斯·史特龍的請求，後來席維斯·史特龍才去找生存者樂團寫了"Eye of The Tiger"這首歌，並造就了《洛基三虎之眼》。
有關《洛基七金牌拳手》演出表單，赫然發現男主角竟然由麥可·喬登主演，難道空中飛人MJ也來打拳擊？其實《洛基七金牌拳手》男主角是黑人演員麥可·B·喬登（Michael Bakari Jordan）主演，兩位喬登恰巧同名同姓而已。
洛基電影主題旋律"Gonna Fly Now"，由Bill Conti作曲，Carol Connors and Ayn Robbins作詞，該曲於1977年勇奪美國告示牌流行排行榜冠軍，並於1977年告示牌年終排行榜列為第21名，更奪下1977年奧斯卡最佳電影原創歌曲。
