《洛基》（Rocky，又译洛奇）是1976年由约翰·艾维森执导，席维斯·史特龙（Sylvester Stallone)担纲编剧兼主演，讲述一个寂寂无名的拳手洛基·巴布亚（Rocky Balboa），绰号“义大利种马”(Italian Stallion)，与重量级拳王阿波罗·克里德（Apollo Creed）争夺拳王的故事。“洛基”虽然是个虚构角色，由于剧情振奋人心又宣扬美国精神，“洛基”成为一个典型美国梦的英雄。席维斯·史特龙凭着演译洛基·巴布亚，不仅成为著名的好莱坞影星，更是1980年代的电影票房保证及高片酬影星，甚至被塑造成美国版的民族英雄岳飞。《洛基》一片是法规制作，仅花费100万美元，而只用28日拍摄。却意外地竟有超过一亿一千七百二十万的票房收入。《洛基》赢得1976年奥斯卡最佳影片奖，奥斯卡最佳导演奖和最佳剪辑奖，史特龙获提名奥斯卡最佳男主角奖和最佳原创剧本。
由1976年到2006年，席维斯·史特龙共拍了六部洛基系列电影，洛基·巴布亚为电影系列第一男主角。2015年11月席维斯·史特龙推出了第七部洛基电影，但洛基·巴布亚首度变成电影系列男配角。洛基系列的电影名称与上映时间如下：

洛基系列电影电影评价最高者仍是洛基第一集，而评价最差者是洛基第五集。洛基在第一集与阿波罗打成平手，洛基在第二集以最终意志战胜阿波罗，洛基在第三集受到阿波罗的鼓励之下击败怪头T先生，洛基在第四集为了替阿波罗报仇而远赴莫斯科打爆杀人机器拳王（Ivan Drago）。
洛基在第五集因得到阿兹海默症，无法再参加擂台战成为街头斗士。原本第五集导演要让洛基横死街头，洛基被自己的徒弟打死，以后就不用再拍续集了。但席维斯·史特龙更改剧本让洛基死里逃生，最后反击打倒徒弟，这段剧情转弯有点硬。观众实在无法接受洛基虎落平阳的落难结局，洛基票房直线下降而让席维斯·史特龙声势下墬，席维斯·史特龙变成1990年代的电影票房毒药，更被评选为演技最差男主角。
直到十六年后推出洛基第六集勇者无惧，席维斯·史特龙才又恢复英雄气概，替洛基系列电影扳回一城。
洛基系列电影令人热血沸腾的拳击争战，当属《洛基三虎之眼》与《洛基四天下无敌》，其拳击战打得天昏地暗日月无光，堪称是拳击片经典中的经典。席维斯·史特龙当年因同时演出蓝波系列电影，把肌肉练成像炮弹般强韧，宛如武神降世，比起1970年代的李小龙电影，不惶多让。

讲到《洛基三虎之眼》与《洛基四天下无敌》，一定要提到演唱电影主题曲的乐团“生存者乐团”(Survivor)。生存者乐团成立于1977年，因主唱《洛基三虎之眼》主题曲"Eye of The Tiger"勇夺美国告示牌六周流行排行榜冠军，"Eye of The Tiger"更成为1982年美国告示牌年终排行榜亚军。正当生存者乐团当红之际，乐团主唱Dave Bickler却于1983年离团，使得乐团于1985年寻找新主唱Jimi Jamison加入，Jimi Jamison因此演唱《洛基四天下无敌》主题曲"Burning Heart"。虽然Dave Bickler与Jimi Jamison音质接近，但"Eye of The Tiger"与"Burning Heart"曲风仍属不同。

另一件妙事是席维斯·史特龙原先向英国天团皇后合唱团请求"Another One Bites The Dust"当作《洛基三》主题曲，皇后合唱团却回绝席维斯·史特龙的请求，后来席维斯·史特龙才去找生存者乐团写了"Eye of The Tiger"这首歌，并造就了《洛基三虎之眼》。
有关《洛基七金牌拳手》演出表单，赫然发现男主角竟然由麦可·乔登主演，难道空中飞人MJ也来打拳击？其实《洛基七金牌拳手》男主角是黑人演员麦可·B·乔登（Michael Bakari Jordan）主演，两位乔登恰巧同名同姓而已。
洛基电影主题旋律"Gonna Fly Now"，由Bill Conti作曲，Carol Connors and Ayn Robbins作词，该曲于1977年勇夺美国告示牌流行排行榜冠军，并于1977年告示牌年终排行榜列为第21名，更夺下1977年奥斯卡最佳电影原创歌曲。
